The 33rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from April 15th to 18th, 2023, brought together experts in the field to discuss the latest advancements in medical research. One particular area of interest was the groundbreaking progress in the utilization of CAR-T cells as a potential cellular therapy for fungal infections. During this event, we had the privilege of interviewing Dr. Michelle Seif, a postdoctoral researcher at the University Hospital Würzburg in Germany, who shed light on the promising potential of CAR-T cells in tackling fungal infections.
