Editor’s Note: On November 8, 2025, during the China Conference on Holistic and Integrative Oncology (CCHIO), the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) held a grand signing ceremony for Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with four major international organizations: the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the Oncology Center of Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic), and the Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan (AOUZ).

The signing of these agreements marks a significant expansion of CACA’s global cooperation network and represents another step forward in contributing Chinese strength and expertise to the global fight against cancer


Academician Fan Daiming

Presided over by Zhang Lijun, Director of the International Exchange Department of the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), the signing ceremony featured opening remarks from Academician Fan Daiming, President of CACA, on behalf of the association.

Academician Fan emphasized that the Memoranda of Understanding symbolize a spirit of international collaboration, where cancer organizations from around the world come together to share knowledge, exchange experience, and advance the global fight against cancer. He noted that through unity and cooperation, CACA and its international partners have built bridges spanning scientific research, clinical practice, and cultural exchange, collectively taking an important step toward the shared mission of conquering cancer and advancing human health.

Director Zhang Lijun

Following the opening remarks, Academician Fan Daiming, on behalf of the China Anti-Cancer Association, signed Memoranda of Understanding with representatives of the four major international organizations:

  • Professor Lillian Siu, President of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)
  • Professor Crystal Denlinger, Chief Executive Officer of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)
  • Professor Bohuslav Melichar, Director of the Oncology Center of Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic)
  • Professor Tillyashaykhov Mirzagaleb, President of the Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan (AOUZ)

This series of signings further expanded China’s collaborative network with global anti-cancer forces.

Distinguished attendees included:  Academician Zhan Qimin, Director of the Peking University International Cancer Institute;  CACA Vice Presidents Professor Wang Ying and Professor Hao Jihui;  CACA Deputy Secretary-General Professor Zhang Ning;  AACR Vice President Professor Frederic Biemar;  Executive Director of the US–China Anti-Cancer Association Professor Yan Li;  as well as members of the Czech and Uzbek delegations. Together, they witnessed this historic moment.

The newly signed MOUs encompass a broad scope of cooperation, including academic exchange and mutual visits, education and training, scientific research collaboration, resource sharing, and co-hosting scientific conferences. Each agreement symbolizes a stronger bridge between CACA and its global partners, heralding future joint efforts in the fight against cancer and paving the way for new milestones in international oncology collaboration.
